Easter Egger club!

Down south here around Columbus the leaves are starting to change.  How goes it up north???

They're predicting a spectacular fall because we had such a mild spring and summer. The leaves are just starting to change. Here's a pic from my deck into the backyard (chicken coop in the distance).

Here in central IL. the purple ash have changed color and some maples are starting . I was in northern MN. last week and they are further along . They will probably hit peak color this week .

I have a question. I have 8 easter egger pullets and I was just wondering at what age they should start laying. They are approx. 6 months old and I still haven't gotten any eggs from them yet. Also will their combs get bigger and redder like other chickens. My rooster Cinder is about the same age as the girls and has been crowing for at least a month now, are the girls just slower at maturing?

Here is a pic of Cinder

This is Penelope and Dallas enjoying a dust bath

B.J. ( short for Betty Jean)

This is Ralphie, he is an EE/FCM cross, so he has feathered legs and feet, which really makes him stand out.

This is a pic of some of the other girls with CInder. They are Piper,Scout, Amber, and Kate and Ally
