Is it my imagination or is it possible for EE to "Honk" instead of cackle. I have my first ever EE who are now at 24 weeks old. They all have their own personalities and habits. But the funniest thing I have noticed is they do not cackle, or make normal chicken noises. I have a red laced hen, I named Sarah who honks...literally.. and roo named Milo who has a gold head lacing, a black body, red and green wings, and gold saddle feather, and white under belly. I really don't know what color to call him. But the two of them "honk" I haven't heard the remaining 4 make any noises, but these two are hilarious. Milo follows me around like a puppy and Sarah is right behind him. They are like two peas in a pod. Where one is, the other is not far behind. As far the remaining 4 they are right behind Milo and Sarah....is this common for everyone else's EE, mine are Ameraucana and Auracana crosses. Sorry no pics, I just thought about their behavior while going through BYC...Milo I think has the most personality, if I am sitting outside, he will run up to me, and stair at me eye to eye almost like he would another roster, he then runs off. Shortly there after here comes Sarah, she does the same thing, only she stands their staring eye to eye with me, twisting her head from side to side as if she is trying to figure something out. Another behavior that has me puzzled. The off she goes behind Milo in search of bugs and grub......Any ideas on this behavior, only my EE do this, none of the others do and I have Wyandottes, Marans, Orpingtons, Ameraucana, Auracans, and Cochins...Just curious...theses are turning out to be my favorite of them all......
