I am breeding for project blue Australorps and keeping the best laying "culls" that I don't sell for eating egg layers and for selling utility hatching eggs locally. I live withing walking distance of a new farmer's market. I can't technically sell eggs there but if people know I'm nearby they can stop by after they go to the farmer's market to buy eggs from me.
So, I have bought my first Easter Egger pullets to provide a colorful egg selection. Very excited! I have 4 sweet girls (and one mean Easter Egger pullet I have named Ursula). In addition, I have 3 Olive Egger pullet chicks and 2 Isbar chicks. I am fairly certain the Isbars are pullets but can't be certain yet since they are not auto-sexing.
And then I have my lone Olive Egger cockerel. Not sure if I can call him an Olive Egger since he won't be laying any eggs. He is a Marans/Isbar cross. Is there any way to predict the color of eggs his female offspring might produce?

Hens go broody when you don’t want them to… and won’t go broody when you do.
but I know how it feels. when I hatch chicks I always have to get up around 5:00 to 6:00 that's the Only time I wake up that early. Is like my babies need me
my sister wants to raise her own from what I hatch but what she doesn't realize she has to wake up so early!! She doesn't like waking up so early. there's a lot of harsh "Complaining " When she woken up before 7:00.
