Easter Egger club!

Bunny and transe were April chicks from 2014. They are both Easter eggers or americaunas. Transe got her name early on, she kept giving me the stink eye look and she's grown up to be a sweet hen! Bunny is shy but get a load of the huge eggs she produces! Both are great laying hens, they are still laying daily even with short days and 32 degree f temps at night! I must say, next to my production reds, these are my favorites!

This is our first EE and she just started laying. We get one nice blue egg every other day now. We have six more ready to go outside now. Havent got photos yet.
There is a great deal of difference in the color and face shape . I guess this is not a standardized breed. I still think they are just great!
This one is Pattycake ( the granddaughter named them) and she likes to sit on my soulder and eat from my hand.

Seems like my ee'er is trying to keep up with my production reds! They lay double jokier but they have a brown shell. I can't keep eggs, my neighbors want them so I sell them to them for $2.50 a dz. Maybe I should raise my price! Lol

Our olive egger thought she was soooooooo smart.. She laid her eggs on top of the cages in the coop every day. For 28 days. We didn't know they were up there until Friday. Crazy bird!!

Holy crap! That's a huge egg! I have only gotten 2 eggs from my EE so far and they have been very dainty and cute. Cant wait till they at least get normal size.

Wow, humongous egg! My EE's have been laying tiny eggs....about 1.5ounces.

The blue one was from my easter egger and the brown is from my black sex link hen. They were huge!
