Yeah... I have four Easter Eggers, four Plymouth Rock Islands and four Rhode Island Reds. I am looking forward to colorful eggs from our Easter Eggers.

Hi guys, I decided I should probably spend time on here other than in the Emergency section, and I was thrilled to find this thread.
I have three EE hens, and my rooster George (profile picture). I'll try to get other pictures up soon so you can meet my girls.
I love them! All four have been sweet, George has NEVER been aggressive towards me. Their personalities are so huge, and the colored eggs are great! I get one pink egg, one olive, and one baby blue per day.
That happened to me too. I kept all of my RIR/EE chicks that had a pea comb. They are all boys. I also kept 5 of my Marans/EE chicks. the two that had pea combs were cockerels and the three pullets all have straight combs.I was looking forward to more colorful egg layers with my hatch and out of 8 EE/silkie offspring the only pea comb I can see is a roo.

Here are a couple of my Easter Eggers. They are 2 months old. The gray and white one is definitely a rooster and loves to crow. The white with brown one hasn't started crowing, but pretty sure it's a rooster. Unfortunately I'm not going to keep any roosters. Out of 8 EE's that I bought as chicks, I only got 1 hen. They are great chickens!
I have 2 EE's and they are so very different in size! One of them is actually quite large and the biggest of my flock. The other is the smallest of all 5 of my flock. Far right is Chica, my small girl them the 3rd from the right is Penny and she's the biggest. Are EEs small birds? Until last week I have only had Tetra Tints (Road Island Red & White Leg Horn hybrid). I just got 3 EE chicks last week, they will be two weeks old tomorrow. They seem so small compared to my Tetra Tints when they were babies. My Tetras grew so fast I swear I could see them growing but my little EEs seem like they have hardly grown at all. They are happy and healthy, running around keeping up with their mama (my broody hen took them in the minute she saw them!) but they just seem so little.
