If you don't mind, you seem to be a good person to ask, What makes a true Ameraucana? I paid top $ for 4 Ameraucana's from a supposed BREEDER.
I latter found out from here that I had EE's. At first I was very mad cause I wanted Ameraucana and I paid for Ameraucana. but I have come to love my EE's. I still want Ameraucana's but am too scared to buy due to people SAYING they are when they really are not, plus I lost a good amount of money and don't want to do that again, I have looked them up online and seen pic's that looked like 1 of my hens, so maybe 1 is? Just dont know how to check. She is white has breaded face Green legs and lays a nice sz Blue egg, the rest of them lay green and olive eggs.
O and what is Sexlinked?

I have an EE that was supposed to be an Ameraucana that looks just like your hen. Sorry you got took but EE are great too.

Certain chicken genes are 'sexlinked.' A hen with that specific gene can only pass it on to her male offspring. It takes the guess work out of sexing chicks. Black sexlinks are a barred hen crossed with a non-barred, non-white rooster. Red sexlinks are a silver hen crossed with a red/gold rooster.
My black sexlink Easter Eggers just hatched last week. They have barred Rock mothers, and an Easter Egger father.
The boys look like this.

Bubbles and Tiny are cool looking with their black heads.

Thanks! Bubbles is quite the character. Tiny on the other hand, she's a bit "off" and has nipped me on several occasions, mean little bugger haha! My son and his father think Quail looks like a hawk. She does this funny head dance when music is on, and gets very vocal (in an "I enjoy this" way). Genesis is the calmest and most curious out of this group.

Ameraucana have muffs, beards, pea combs, slate legs, white skin, and lay blue eggs. Ameraucana only come in a handful of colors. A good breeder, breeding to standard, will keep each color variety separate and can tell you exactly which approved standard color you are buying. Easter Eggers are cross breeds that may or may not have a blue egg gene. Easter Eggers might lay any color egg, there are no guarantees. Easter Eggers can be any color/pattern combination. Lots of people get 'Ameraucana" from hatcheries, not realizing they aren't the real thing. Then they breed them and sell the chicks as pure Ameraucana. Your white one might be an approved color, but the green legs means that she has yellow skin.

Well you described my white hen until you got to the legs and skin, she does lay a very pretty blue egg though. I love her anyway. Thanks for the info now when I start to look again in the spring I will know what to look for. I am assuming that I can find the approved colors online someplace.

Ok I just hatched some BR, BR/welsummer x chicks and they all have white dots on there heads, does that mean they are all boys? Mom was the BR.

I have one of those, but she only does it when I pick her up so I just don't... lol She is going to bite me real bad tonight, she is my Roo's favorite hen and looks it so I am removing her tonight so she can grow her poor feathers back before winter. She is NOT going to understand that at all.

That's pretty much the only time my little booger bites at me, when she's "cornered" for picking up. I don't know if it has more to do with the fact she was tormented the first 6wks of her life by the RIR cockerel (didn't know he was a he or RIR until right before I rehomed him, he was a nasty little bugger). She seems to be getting a little better about it, hopefully she'll knock it off completely.

I had a RIR hen that was mean as a snake, she got rehomed real fast. I wish you luck on your EE calming down, Mine is 2 years old and aint changed a bit, and she was hatched here. But she is a great layer and fine with the rest of the flock, so she gets to stay.

In my little flock, I have one EE named Airborne. She probably has the most personality out of the 4 that we have! She has been laying eggs for about a month and a half now, and we never know where we will find her eggs! The other 2 hens always lay in the nesting boxes, but not Airborne! We find her little green eggs in the roost, outside in the dirt, and sometimes in the nesting box. She has been a little broody and likes to sit on the others' eggs. When I lift the lid, she kinda growls at me! One day I actually saw her steal an egg from my Black Star, Heedley! When Heedley stood up, Airborne reached her beak under there and tapped the egg toward her, then sat right down on it! She's also the loudmouth of the group. I get a kick out of her!

I think sometimes pullets DO have a white spot but it's smaller and not quite as bold. But I'm no expert.

I'm guessing not, but maybe?
