Easter Egger club!

All four of mine lay different shades of eggs and in fact they vary by day too.

the blue are from one hen on two different days. The green are from another on two different days.

You know, I could have sworn the hen who layed the light blue egg in my pic layed darker eggs before...so this concept is interesting!

My EE's shells lightened a bit as they got to be bigger more uniform eggs, their first months eggs were certainly darker.

I had a friend say hers lay different colors in different days too. So she never knows who lays what because she has so many.
I only have 4 so it's easier.

mine were lighter and then got darker. Lol! And now it just changes whenever.

So, my son got a birthday present from our Easter Egger, Daisy, today, lol! She is just coming out of a molt and had not laid an egg since mid October. My son swears the green eggs taste best, so it was pretty cool that she laid an egg on his birthday today.

We finally got our first eggs from our Easter egger girls!
They are a dark greenish brown.

Not the blue I'd hoped for, but yay eggs!!

Second eggs are the best though, as the shells are more uniform and even in color. This is my second egg from my second ee hen
