***Breeding question****
I hatched 2 roos from green eggs in July. One has green legs and has kind or partridge feathering. He has a single comb.
The second has orange legs and the colors of a light brahma. He has a pea comb. Both have clean faces.
I am only going to keep one over the winter to breed to my EE hen who is bearded with muffs.
My question is which roo would you keep and why?

Looks to me like they both have pea combs. The darker one looks to have a more complete 3 three-row comb. He's the one I'd keep.

Thank you she is absolutely adorable and he is quite handsome he my baby after Jon Snow of course lol. Blackbeard is the bigger sweetheart though my roommate got lucky with him

Just ordered 10 EE Day-old pullets from Meyer, anyone have pics of their adults from Meyer?

I've never owned any crosses or "mutt" breed chickens, so I'm suuuuuuuuuuuuuper excited about the added egg colors to our future flock! The plan is to cross them over our NN Broilers and develop a slow-growing broiler that also lays Green Eggs!

awww we got 3 from Meyer. 2 have the muffed/beard face(we call them fluffy face) and 1 straight/long face one. 2 bluer and 1 more teal eggs. They started laying the 22 Sept at 21weeks. They kind of look like Saturn (a pullet that laid first egg recently & the post is up a few from yours)
Our girls are feisty but gorgeous and love the attention when you can get ahold of them. Now they are laying, you just pet them and they squat. They are love bugs now. Loving treats. I'll upload pics this week and show you. Tail feather tips are all blue-gray. Legs are long and Hunter Green. They are the smaller ones in the flock.
