Easter Egger club!

This is my EE pullet on the right. She looks a lot like my Welsummer but has slate legs. No puffy cheeks and no beard. She was being unusually shy

That's so sad. Do they pick each other or only other breeds of chickens pick them? Are they too mellow to fight back? I'm curious since I plan to get some.

Usually its another breed picking at them, but a couple of them will pick on other EEs.
They are super chill (most of them anyway  ), but not so much so that they won't stick up for themselves. All but the super spoiled ones will either get out of the way or fight back. BUT, I have heard stories of EEs who were crazy violent. XD

Ha ha! They sound wonderful. I love super chill chickens who stick up for themselves. But I can't help spoiling my chickens. They're just way too cute and Easter Eggers are even cuter so no chance I won't spoil them. :)

I have two eggers who literally think I am their legit MOTHER. :lau If they get pecked, they come running and try to hide under my shirt like a chick under a hen.  We would let them sleep in a big sweatshirt sleeve when they were chicks. XD

View attachment 1017935 Is this an EE? 7 weeks old.

Yep! She's beautiful.

Been loving all the pictures of these beautiful birds! We have two EEs.. one is in our "hen hospital" from a dog bite (thread over at emergencies forum) and is getting TLC in our home. Especially from my daughter! This is Sunshine. It's been great getting to know her this week as we care for her. She's the newest of our four hens and the most shy/skittish. She's a gem one-on-one.
