I have to withdraw my request to join the EE club....Peach has laid her first egg....and it is also brown. I really wanted some coloured eggs!!! I may just purchase a couple of cream legbar hens or something with a blue egg guarantee lol

No you don't have to leave the club! EE's can lay any color egg. Yours happens to lay brown eggs. That's the caveat, you don't know what color eggs you'll get until they start laying

And here is what Nala looks like now! 3 1/2 weeks old. She is a lap chicken obviously.

I love the golden feathers she has so far!

On another note, EEs really are a mystery. This chick was dark grey to begin with and all of the sudden started sprouting golden feathers!

Awww! The last one looks a lot like my Suzzie. She started off really dark like that, too, now she's pretty much all silverish-gray.
