Easter Egger Cockrell? And......can and Andalusian be completely black?

I purchase 14 birds from Meyer hatchery as day old chicks. When they arrived I was able to identify all babies and their breeds (2 barred rock, 3 buff brahmas, 3 ee, 3 green queens and 3 Andalusian). Now that they are 12 weeks old I believe I've miss identified a Green Queen, Dixie Chick (an all black bird) with the "splash" looking cockerel(?), that is most likely a Green Queen or EE.

Is this bird and EE? Is it a cockerel?

I didnt want to disturb the dust bath bleow. The Blue Andulusian is on bottom left, can the black chicken to the right be an Andulusian? That' the only other candidate if the above is NOT an Andulusian.

Yay. I am hoping for all pullets (or at least thats what I ordered). If she is an EE That must mean the all black chicken is my other Andalusian. Or, that the hatchery sent me 2 blue Andalusians and a mystery bird

That ee is definitely a pullet, and she's beautiful!!
I believe blue Andalusians have the same genes as other blue dilute chickens.
Two blue birds bred together can produce blue, splash or solid black. Not sure though, it seems like they'd send two blue colored chicks inlf that's what you ordered?

Very well could be. They've sent me black and don't guarantee "blue" at most hatcheries.

Skin, shank, and lobe color can help confirm, plus toe count, eye color, and comb type. Those can tell the subtle differences between similar breeds in many instances.

I agree the EE is a beautiful pullet!

Thank you. She really is pretty, her name is Lady Bird I did order 3 blue Andalusians. I definitely have 2 very easily identifiable blue Andalusians, the only other bird that could be is the all black one..........but......who knows...

Thank you - I didnt get a really good picture of the black Andalusian (?) is that what you call it? I may start a separate thread with better pictures to see what folks think about the breed.

Blue is a dilute to black. As @artbykarenehaley tried to explain. To get 100% BLUE offspring can only be done by black cross splash parents. See the following chart..

So truly they are all 3 Andalusion. Black or Blue just references their color. But yes, I think most people would call it a black Andalusion. I have no doubt that is very likely what they sent you and makes perfect sense verses a mystery bird. But like you say, anything is possible!

Oh yeah, most birds will start showing some pointy saddle feathers growing in at this age if they are boys.. and will usually have much redder comb and wattles starting around 8 weeks.. Brahma can be slow developers.. Hopefully that EE was your most suspicious one and you got all ladies! Her feather coloration is one of the things that confirms gender..
