Easter Egger colors

I used this site a lot to see what my little EE girl would look like: http://www.plumjam.com/poultry/breeds/ee-colors.cfm

There are four groups of chicks and it goes through how their colours changed to adulthood. My girl ended up looking like 'Speckles' in group 2

Thats because EEs don't really have "named" colors since they are not an official breed. I have heard people refer to them using named colors from other breeds...but honestly most EEs are such beautiful, completely random mixes of colors that you can make up your own names for them

. BTW...I am very jealous of Lilly, that is my favorite color in EEs and I can't seem to get a chick that turns out that way.

See...that's all I needed to hear. EEs are my favorite chickens because of their many colors and pretty eggs. Thank you! I thought Lilly was going to turn out to be red. She was a chipmunk chick.

Thank you! I think so too. Her head does kinda remind me of a hawk though. lol

Thanks! I was able to take a guess at what color my newest EE "Miz Christy" will be. She most closely resembles "tan" from group 1. We'll see how well that works out for me. She is about 5 weeks old right now.
