Easter egger +different hen= Colored eggs?

If I get an Easter egger rooster will his chicks be colored egg layers? I am very new to this. Thanks.

If he carries the blue/green egg gene then the chicks will most likely lay green eggs. Depending on the color egg the hen lays the eggs will be some shade of green (unless he carries blue and the hen lays white, the eggs will be pale blue).

If he was hatched from a blue egg he has the blue egg gene right?

Pretty much. I believe the blue gene is dominant.
