I use to feed her chick feed, but now I feed her scratch.

She needs to be on a complete feed. The kind made for chickens.

A quality layer or grower feed with oyster shell offered in a separate container is what she needs. A friend would be nice as well, since chickens thrive in a flock.

Yea you are right. When I went to buy chicken feed, the owner said that I should just feed scratch to my chicken but now I know that I should feed complete feed. With that, should I feed my chicken a chick feed or the older laying hen feed.

Oh.....so she is your only chicken? She may not know where to lay.....do you have a nesting box set up? Putting golf balls or fake eggs where you want her to lay will help. How is the natural lighting in your basement?

I don’t use any light in the basement unlesss i have to feed her but I leave her next To the window where there is light.

A chicken has to be kept properly, or you are not getting eggs and the bird will have poor health.
Chickens are not made to live in basements. Why is she in your basement, and why do you have only one?
