I have four easter egger chicks that are about 4 weeks old. One of them has a bright red comb, so I was wondering if it is a rooster. I know it is most likely to young to tell, but I am curious:) This is my first time with easter eggers, so I would appreciate any help!

I will post pics of my other chicks when they are a bit older.

Ah. Do you have any other maybe-roosters? Since unfortunately this one does not strike me as a boy.
No, I've only had hens in the past. I recently moved to a place with lots more space, which means lots more chickens (chicken math). So I really need a rooster to protect them because there are a lot of predators in the area.

Also, I do have straight run buff orpingtons with 1 possible rooster, but I think they are all most likely pullets.

But I assume you have other chicks then just this one right now.
