Trying to get a variety of colored eggs...

I have 3 EE hens laying cream amd light brown.

Is there anything I can do with those genes? I have a BCM roo...

I suspect any new generations the egg would just darken up?

Easter Eggers are supposed to lay Blue or Green. If you want that, you would need to add the blue egg gene.

Otherwise, they are barnyard mix.
I realize there are some folks out there trying to say the names are synonymous, but the majority of people will think EE's lay blue or green, and language is all about being understood by others.

There are a number of genes controlling Brown coating. Crossing a BCM potentially carrying Dark Brown genes, over hens with light to medium brown eggs, would result in a variety of shades of brown with unpredictable outcomes.

So the question is, what do you want to see from your eggs?

Sounds like I'd need a cream legbar rooster, or ameraucana roo to stick in the pen with them to put blue/green back to em... thats kinda what I figured..
