On tenterhooks if my chick's orange feathers are going to stay put or go fully cockerel. If your chick is similar, looks like 8 weeks is a good check in. 6 weeks is too indeterminate.

The tail feathers are actually similarly shaped to those of the one I know to be a pullet, they are edged with blue which creates sort of optical illusion, I believe.
