I don't see any wattles on it yet though?? My guess 50/50 I had the sme thing happen to me with my Buff's 2 outta 3 appear to be a ROO!!

I went searching on these boards a while back for how old roos are when they start crowing. I found everything from crowing in the brooder box to 9-10 months. AND, some roos don't crow at all when there is a more dominant roo present. It's fascinating!

Hi there! Our (now confirmed) EE roo just crowed yesterday--at about 8ish weeks! I'd guess roo on yours, too, based on the size and brightness of the comb and the irregular coloration of his feathers. Good luck!
