Easter egger or naw?

Ok so I was told this little girl was an easter egger.. But her beard isn't coming in at all yet. Shes about 5.5-6 weeks old. Any thoughts?

To me, she doesn't look like an Easter Egger. I would guess that she is a Black Australorp or something similar. Where did you get her?

Also, I'm not so sure that "she" is a she. The comb appears rather red for the age.

Yeah I'm saying she out of pure hopefulness!! Lol I got her from a "breeder" in Knoxville Tennessee. Which is about 2hours and 40 minutes away from my town. I drover over 5 hours and this person has turned out to be not so trustworthy as far as breeds go.

Not all EEs have beards. If they are going to have them, you can clearly see them the day they hatch.

Good to know!! Well if she is a she* and she's an easter egger the eggs will tell the truth I'm sure!

I agree it looks like a cockerel. On the off chance it is a pullet, your chance of blue or green eggs is slim due to that straight comb--pea combs are linked to colored eggs.

Good to know!! I'm just crossing fingers for eggs instead of angry neighbors!
