At this point, I agree with all the pullet guesses. My EE's are sometimes very hard to tell, they tend to be slow maturing compared to some of my others. Coloring looks pullet, nothing screams cockerel. I would think in another 5 -7 weeks you should have a better idea. Sometimes waiting is the best thing to do with them. I've been fooled by pullets I thought were cockerels and vice versa.

I'm keeping it either way, cockerel or pullet. Maybe I'm just willing her to be a roo... ;)

Ok so my "Crayons" EE was suppose to be pullet, now he is roo. I got 3 EEs here are the teen vers adult pics.. Only the muti color "Crayons" is a roo.... Even at a young age, you can see his comb more pronounced verses the 2 girls... 2month old pic verses 6month old

Whenever you want a rooster, you get pullets ... Murphy's Law! If you genuinely wish this bird to be a cockerel and he's a she, don't lose hope. There are always extra roosters needing homes. Not all are extras or culls, either. Some are quite docile and already proven with hens, they just need to be swapped out with new lines. So, if this one's a disappointment as a flock master, just put the word out that you're looking for a nice EE roo, and you'll likely have a dozen responses in no time, flat ... unless Murphy's been up to his old tricks again ...
