so I want to ask, I have a easter egger rooster that has a little bit of a crest on him and a hen with little bit a crest to (bigger then the roosters tho), I also have easter egger hens with no crests at all.
what breeds where is again that easter egger is mixed with? and has either of the breed that there mixed with a crest or are this rooster and hen maybe mixed with more maybe?
the rooster doesn't have a big crest tho so if I mate him with the hens that don't have crest I think the chicks won't have any crest either.

PRobably a crested creme legbar. Do you have photos?

Most Easter eggers that you will get from hatcheries and feed stores are just destroyed Ameraucana breeding flocks. The breeding flocks were destroyed because the hatcheries mixed the Ameraucanas with brown egg laying breeds to produce green egg layers, the problem is the green egg laying will not be carried from one generation to the next. The hatcheries did not know this and were probably very disappointed when the second generation laid a mix of blue, green, brown, cream, and white eggs. Well anyways, most EEs are descendants from Ameraucanas. The traits that Ameraucanas are known for are dominant traits and most of the offspring produced from the cross look very similar to an Ameraucana, the main difference is just color changes. You can get EEs that look nothing like Ameraucanas though. EEs will usually have a pea comb, pea combs in pullets are very small and hard to see unless you look for them. The pea comb will start to grow and mature as the pullet gets closer to laying age.

this is the only picture I could find of the rooster but you can barely see the crest on him on this picture so I'm going out side to try to take a new picture of him and the pullet if the stay still, haha
but here in Iceland it's kinda common to she that easter Eggers have crests and some people have easter egger with even bigger crest that my to crested easter Eggers have, but I'm just wondering about this because when I google easter Eggers they don't have the crests
