This is Theodore Roostevelt. He's a little over 3 months old. He was an accidental rooster that I got from Southern States. They called him an Americauna, but he's more than likely an Easter Egger. The other "Ameracauna" I got with him is a hen and she's the most common color for EE hens. This rooster is very very colorful. He's got shiny, iridescent feathers of several different colors, including some darker purple. I'm new to having chickens, the 12 I have are my first.
I was wondering why he's more colorful than the majority of photos of EE roosters that I've been able to find? I know I'll never 100% know, but I'm curious to find out what other breeds could be in his background.
