HiI have to add her buddy, miss Ed. She started laying eggs in July, hasn't missed a day. I think the may be part leghorn. They came from the same nest, also in March. They are inseparable, but Miss Ed is the care taker when hawks or the neighbors dog is around. She lays green eggs. I just accidentally deleted my side view photo. I will get it tomorrow. The one with her on the nest is Best!
Miss Ralph came to live with me at 2 days old in March. She's been laying eggs since beginning of August and hasn't missed a day. Her desired nest is under my bed. She learned to open the screen door, after running up a flight of stairs. How do you keep a chicken of the house? Lock the door? Then she and her buddy sit outside the dentist window watching the dentist at work
