They are nice, I have a male right now I'm struggling to decide to keep or cull/send as a pair with a warning on him

Yes, I had a very friendly Sumatra cockerel, but he was killed by my aggressive Sumatra cockerel earlier this spring. Trying a new training/taming method for my Demon, but it maybe too late to correct the behavior.

Yay! I got the rooster at church today plus three bantams for my birthday! Two seem tame and two (including the big rooster) are a little skittish. I will post pictures tomorrow!

A California white wouldn’t work, since half of the chicks would be mostly white, meaning they couldn’t be sexed.

I can hold all three bantams, but not the big rooster yet. First I want to make sure he knows that humans are the boss (I used to have an aggressive rooster and I really don't want this one to be mean) and then I will work on gaining his trust.

Some colors work better for sex links too. Good rule of thumb for black sex links is to use a dark feathered, non barred, rooster. The hen must have barring so any hen with barring will work (barred rock, legbar, cuckoo marans, delaware, CA Grey, etc.)

Yes, an ayam cemani rooster with a barred hen should work just fine for producing sexlink chicks.

Wouldn't it work for fibro sexlink too? Or are they too fibromelanistic?
