Actually, there are male and female specific feather patterns that can occur in EE. Can I see side standing shots of Piglet, Hamhock and Toast? They're likely pullets, but something about Piglet makes me think cockerel. I'd like to see the wings to confirm.
Agree though, Bacon is definitely a cockerel.
Oh really? I knew I read this somewhere about female specific feather patterns, but I couldn't find it again! If it could stop raining in Florida for 2 seconds, I could try to get some good side standing shots for y'all.
I agree with you totally! Piglet is the only one I am still like, huh? What are you? Something about Piglet makes me think seekret cockerel. The comb is nowhere as nearly as dark as Bacon's but it's still more prominent than Ham or Toast. The bird is 100% chill though. This MIGHT be because I think Piglet is the dominant bird of the flock. Or just most fearless, Piglet tolerates my curious corgi very well.
Bacon on the other hand ... is like NOPE! NOT TODAY! NOT TOMORROW! NOT EVER, LADY!
Other than the comb coloring difference between Bacon and Piglet, they have a very similar overall coloring, but I can't describe it.
HOPEFULLY, there will be a break in the rain tomorrow when I get home from work. Thank you so much for your help!
