Easter Egger Sexing "tips and tricks" *Pictures Included*

Anyone else want to take a guess? I'm REALLY hoping Candy turns out to be a female. She thinks she's a parrot and rides around on my hand. When she hears my voice she starts this sort of cooing/purring sound and will actully jump up and hit the inside of the brooder cover until I take her out.

I have one easter egger out of my 3 Chicks. Now they are 11 weeks old and I'm questioning gender once again!!
my next question is I've been asked what color she/he is, what would you call this coloring? and is it blue or black?
What are your opinions

I have an identical pullet and she's so gorgeous. Look at few posts up...her name is Rosie. Mine is 11 weeks old.

I would vote pullet just because there is no comb development at 6 weeks

I feel very lucky that SHE turned out to be such a pretty bird!!
(well when she was a baby I named her Roo cause I thought it would be cute but I almost thought a jinxed her!)

I am so glad to see this rather lengthy thread, but I must confess looking at all of these pictures is making my head swim. Once I think I know the difference between a roo & a hen, it all sort of falls away. So I hope you all might be able to help me confirm my suspicions. I have 4 chickens about 12 weeks old. 2 are EEs. I feel fairly certain that one is a rooster. The other I'm not so sure, but I'm leaning toward roo territory. Of course, these being my first chickens, I could be completely wrong.

Here's Winnie Cooper. 12 week old EE. That I suspect is a roo.

Body shot of Winnie:

This is Bunny. Also 12 weeks old. Maybe a roo?

Another body shot of Bunny. Sorry no head shots.

Thanks very much! I hope these photos are good enough. I can take more if need be.
