Yes. I also see the beginnings of rusty red spots coming in on the upper wings which is a male trait. EEs don't have wattles.I think I know the answer, but I am a new chicken mom, so can those who have been there before me take a guess? This Chickpea, a nearly seven week old EE. Chickpea was bought at the same time as my other chickens, but is the only one to have any color or size to his/her comb, no wattles. Do you think it's a roo?View attachment 556984 View attachment 556985

Don't make me gather the clean-faced EEs to dispute that!
Bearded EEs don't have wattles. Or at least not big ones.![]()
Yes, he is definitely a cockerel. From the photo it looks like you still have them in a brooder?I think I know the answer, but I am a new chicken mom, so can those who have been there before me take a guess? 6 weeks is kind of young, but here's what I see:I have 4 Easter Egger chicks, exactly 6 weeks old in these photos. One white, one silver, and two brown (let's call the one with more red on the head/hackles #1 and the one with tan/more variegated color #2).
Gender opinions, please? Thank you!
