Easter Egger Sexing "tips and tricks" *Pictures Included*

Hi all. I managed to hatch my first set of eggs from my beautiful EE cock, Akai. These 7 chicks are his. All but #1 and #7 are from the same hen. They are 3-weeks old in these pictures. Any guesses as to sex? My favourite is #1 and, although I wish it to be a pullet, my gut says cockerel!

Too young. Try again in another month.

What a gorgeous bunch. Can we see the parents?

IMG_7282.JPG Your silver looks a bit like my Olive.
I have 4 Easter Egger chicks, exactly 6 weeks old in these photos. One white, one silver, and two brown (let's call the one with more red on the head/hackles #1 and the one with tan/more variegated color #2).

Gender opinions, please? Thank you!

Ok, I think this one is a rooster; ( the one in the front in every pic with more than one chick) but am not sure about the other one. They are about a month old. Here are some pics of them together, ignore the nosy buff. Any thoughts appreciated!

I think you are right. I see some pink in the comb already, and the very patchy coloring usually indicates a cockerel. That being said, wait a couple weeks more to be sure. It is still quite young, comb colors can be deceptive on a computer screen, and I have seen some patchy patterns turn into pullet patterns. On a male, a pea comb will develop a wide, bumpy raised ridge down the center. Pullets have a thinner raised ridge. I can't see the comb well enough to tell.

Thank you! I am pretty sure he is a boy, but will be patient! Any thoughts on the other one? I am thinking girl... thanks!

Hey all, I have 3 Easter Eggers but I was curious about whether you guys thought it was male or female. She was sexed as pullet but just wanted to see what you thought.
