Easter Egger Sexing "tips and tricks" *Pictures Included*

We had the same problem! So pretty, but seriously so many boys someone has to go.

      Alpha                                            Omega                                           Alpha  (again)                                              Beta
Did you keep any of these? I would have chosen Omega. He's really pretty :)

Alpha and Omega are still here. Culled Beta, and now have another roo named Blue (he is all blue with a gold neck) They are getting new batchelor highrise houses built so we can rotate who we use in the EE pen. All three boys have slate legs, and blue has almost black legs.

Good choice on the legs. I prefer slate/black over green for my EEs. I can't wait to see how my babies turn out. They are 4 weeks old now. More pictures are needed! I find it so hard with that red heat lamp. The pictures turn out awful unless I take them outside - and that's too much work :p

How old was pumpkin? Super cute!

- sorry, I thought it would quote a previous post! -

Ok, I'm back with some pictures of my EE chick. S/he is now 4 weeks + 4 days, these pictures were all taken today. Any guesses to the gender?

EE is on the left -- the one on the right is a Speckled Sussex (if anyone cares to make a bonus wager)

I saw something on this thread about rows of peas in the comb, I can see 3 but they're not very prominent yet.

The chest feathered out what I would call more salmon than orange, the spots on the wings match... I'm hoping this is not an ominous pattern.

I hope you can shed some light on this little one, because I'm pretty confused... thanks everyone!

Both look like roos to me
