Easter Egger Sexing "tips and tricks" *Pictures Included*

OK experts, how often does this coloring turn out to be a hen? This baby is only 2 weeks but, I love guessing games so I figured I would start posting progressive feathering for my fellow newbies.

Thanks in advance for your expertise I have been reading through this thread for awhile.

No real discernible comb but, again only 2 weeks old. Those big feet concern me....
I say pullet...I know EEs are different from other chickens, but I still see lots of feathering and tail feathers.
Good signs.

This is an updated picture of "Suzy." I posted a picture of this chick about a week and a half ago. So this weekend, "Suzy" will be 4 weeks. I've noticed some aggressive behavior and still wondering what people think. Thanks for your input!

6 week picture of Ginger to update. What do you think? The red continues in the same color down the back and tail. Has the same amount of feathering and the same sized feet as the other three, which everyone said were pullets. Supposed to be a hatchery-sexed pullet.

Suzy is looking very much like a young cockerel now! 99% for me on that one.

Ginger is still looking patterned with the light red rather than getting brick red patches. Fingers crossed that you have an unusual pullet.

I'm not sure if it is just the photo but the comb looks quite pink to me and the general patchiness of flooring leads me to believe it's a roo.

Tough one to call, again not sure if it's just me but there is a pinkish shade on the comb. How many rows on it's comb? I have read 3 rows signifies a male while single is female. That is beautiful and interesting coloring and the tail feathers are down but appear to be a bit curved on the ends, again could just be that pose. I would lean towards cockerel but it may indeed be a pullet. Perhaps another photo in a different pose?

I'm still going to go with pullet on Ginger due to the fact that the red is all over and not in patches like debid said. If it was only on the shoulders and not all over the wing then I would be worried, but it's not so I think you're safe. You'll probably keep second guessing her until you get that first egg though!

Quote: Right now it's just a blob, not really something I can see peas on. One of the girls has a definite pea comb, and I'm thinking Basil is going to have a single comb...it doesn't look anything like the pea comb or the blob that Ginger and I think Curry have (I think it is Paprika that has the defined pea comb). I will have to try to get another pic for you later this weekend. S/he holds the tail down, I don't know that I would call it curved, but it is down at an angle. The two brown girls hold theirs parallel to their back and the black and white one holds hers the same as Ginger.
Quote: I know. I wouldn't have thought twice until someone mentioned that she looked like their roo...now I'm paranoid! I really, really hope we are a pullet - I can't have roos in the city.
