Easter Egger Sexing "tips and tricks" *Pictures Included*

I would love to know where all of ya'll get your easter eggers from. They're all so pretty and colorful! The ones I get from feed store always end up being the drab brown ones

My two EE's came from Meyer Hatchery, both pullets and both have the puffy cheeks and beautiful coloring.

My EE's are also from Meyer and I LOVE the colors I've gotten from them. I have a few that lack beards and muffs, and a few that have single combs, but that kind of variation is fun. As a disclaimer, I also get a bunch of the standard partridge/orangey/wildtype birds, the "drab" brown ones in my batches.

I'm guessing that the first and third ones are pullets while the second one is a cockerel. 5 weeks old. What do y'all think?

Unless the bird pictured in the second photo has black chest feathers coming in, that's a pullet. Third photo is also a pullet. I'd like to see the one on the roost in the first photo from the side. That one is looking like it has red wing patches. I presume you know the black one is male.

Mine were also from Meyer. Lynn, do you have pics of the top bird as a chick?

I have been taking pics every week, here are they're 1st pictures in the same order as the other 2 I posted... They looked a lot alike at first.

The lighter colored one is on the left, she always looked sweet and still does, the one on the right we named Maddie, since she always has a mad look. She is the more dominant one and seems to be the head chicken of all 13 of mine.

I have heard many good things about Cackles EEers. They breed for lots of colors. My first two came from Cackles. One is black and white and the other a pretty blue laced red color! Really love EEers!

Hi all, I have been trying to wait to see what sex my ee's are. I think these are all hens but thought I might get some opinions from some people that have more experience.
Here are some pics.

Not sure about this one it is still changing, I think?
