I hope so. She and one of the others have some of that green sheen to their tail feathers today. I love their patterns.

How about Mab? I think she's the only one of the Easter Eggers with no real pattern to her feathers but she has no comb growth, it is still pale and no waddles either.
I dont know but I dont see any pointy feathers or comb or anything that screams boy to me unless it would be the reddish color on the wings but I think that has to be on the shoulders to mean boy. My guess is girl again. Remember I am no expert by any means.

Thanks everyone for the feedback. One more nine weeker. Cockerel or pullet? I have had completely mixed reviews.

At 9 weeks I'm gonna guess that this is a very pretty girl.I don't see any comb at all on her.My boys on the other hand starting showing early and by 71/2 weeks I knew they were both roos.

Hi! I'm new to byc and to chicken raising. About 3 mos ago (at end of march) I got 3 EE. I'm hoping they are not all Roos!! None are crowing but the 2 with white around head fight some. In hoping at least the one without white may be a hen. Any help would be appreciated!
They all look like roos.

Your luck seems to be as good as mine with EE's lol! I bought 2 this year(from a sexed pullet bin no less!) and both turned out to be roos.

Looks like rooster hackle feathers on the neck but I don't see any above the tail. splotchy coloring pattern usually means boy too. I'm not positive but I'm leaning towards roo.
Not that I put any stock in my son's oppinion, but he "likes your rooster" too.
I love those blue feathers however.

Having some questionable genders popping up in my flock. Do irredescent feathers always mean a male? To my not so well trained eye these chickens display no other obvious signs of being roosters except that some of their large (rounded) tail feathers are getting a bright gleen to them. Their combs and waddles are still pale and small, their legs aren't exceptionally large and all their feathers seem to be rounded despite their pointy patterns.

This is StarBurst, who I am REALLY hoping is a pullet.

Very pretty...How old are they?
