I dont know but I dont see any pointy feathers or comb or anything that screams boy to me unless it would be the reddish color on the wings but I think that has to be on the shoulders to mean boy. My guess is girl again. Remember I am no expert by any means.
At 9 weeks I'm gonna guess that this is a very pretty girl.I don't see any comb at all on her.My boys on the other hand starting showing early and by 71/2 weeks I knew they were both roos.
They all look like roos.
I'm sorry, those are DEFINITELY all roos![]()
How about Mab? I think she's the only one of the Easter Eggers with no real pattern to her feathers but she has no comb growth, it is still pale and no waddles either.
Looks like rooster hackle feathers on the neck but I don't see any above the tail. splotchy coloring pattern usually means boy too. I'm not positive but I'm leaning towards roo.
Not that I put any stock in my son's oppinion, but he "likes your rooster" too.
I love those blue feathers however.

Very pretty...How old are they?Having some questionable genders popping up in my flock. Do irredescent feathers always mean a male? To my not so well trained eye these chickens display no other obvious signs of being roosters except that some of their large (rounded) tail feathers are getting a bright gleen to them. Their combs and waddles are still pale and small, their legs aren't exceptionally large and all their feathers seem to be rounded despite their pointy patterns.
This is StarBurst, who I am REALLY hoping is a pullet.
