Easter Egger Sexing "tips and tricks" *Pictures Included*

I could have sworn somebody here had posted about EE's that were Amer'/ Welsumer cross, didn't they? I am looking at getting a couple of pullets that are out of Ameraucana mom/Welsumer roo. I'm curious what color eggs they might lay (the birds I'm thinking of getting are 18+ weeks so haven't started laying). My Welsumer hen lays such nice reddish-brown eggs, I wondered if the EE's would tend toward a more purple-ish than olive? Just wondering, thanks!

I could be wrong, but my guess is Rhode Island Red. Check out post # 15 and compare the pictures of the chicks there to your chick. Here is the link

Also, here is a link to an article on how to sex RIRs. In a nut shell, if it has stripes or spots on head or back, then 80%+ it will turn out to be a hen. http://naldc.nal.usda.gov/download/IND43969461/PDF

everything tells me that is a hen but those wattles and almost no tail worry me :(

Manuelmonster, I vote pullet and production red. Don't mistake the presence of tiny wattle nubs and a visible comb for rooster signs. A single comb with typical five week male development would be dark pink and really growing. A few might start late so I'll add that it will be obvious in two weeks. Either there will be *dramatic* change (male) or almost none (female). But the overall look seems feminine at this point.

Please help me find out which is most likely my roo.
400

Peanut (above)
400

Chicklet
400

Nuggs (all soft yellow)
400

Chickadee (no tail feathers yet not as many wing feathers yet either)

And little peep.
All are only a week old so I know it's early. I did have one pass away that looked similar to Chicklet and peanut. I ordered 5 hens and 1 roo from my pet chicken. Also I've been seeing on here the most beautiful light blue hens and was wondering what they looked like as chicks. Any help is appreciated all should be 100% EE's
