Easter Egger Sexing "tips and tricks" *Pictures Included*

I have an EE/barnyard mix, lays a light pink egg, pea comb, that is super broody. She currently has seven six week old chicks that she hatched out. I think, like most things with ee, it's chance. Depends on the parent stock. My hatchery EE has never gone broody, no signs at all and she is almost two. Here's Lillie and her brood!

I posted some pictures of Ember and Cinder @ 6 weeks old a week ago, wondering if they were pullets or cockerels. Here they are @ 7 weeks old.
Ember front and back:

Cinder (could only get a front view today):

Ember is so much mellower than Cinder. Cinder is kind of a, well, "chicken" chicken. Always more timid and kinda more nervous.

I posted my three EE chicks a couple of weeks ago, but thought I'd try for some more opinions! Two of the three I'm pretty certain are pullets, one I just can't tell. They are now six weeks, here is the chick in question, Pancake.

In the last picture, Pancake is in the back and Cupcake is in the foreground. I'm pretty sure Cupcake is a pullet, her comb is single row and she has the salmon color on her chest. Pancake is darker, but I don't see any red leaking in anywhere. The comb looks like it might be three rows, but it isn't very wide and the two outer rows aren't as developed as the middle. Any guesses?

These two are tough for me, but Cinder's black chest and somewhat patchy coloring make me think roo. Ember's chest is more salmon, and the red on the wings is a little lower than the typical male coloring, so maybe a pullet?

I think the comb is a little too big for a 6-week old pullet. The tail is slow-growing which happens to some boys. So, I am going to guess roo again on this one. Please post again once you know for sure.

These two haven't changed much from the last pictures you posted. I am curious as to what their sexes are and what Cinder will look like when grown. I am still going with Ember boy, and Cinder girl. Please post again once you know for sure.

Thanks for the input! I've been leaning roo, but sometimes it looks so much like a pullet. We will keep until we know for sure, but we will have to rehome if it's a roo. I think either way it will be a pretty bird, so hopefully if a boy I can find a good home.

Thanks for the helpful post. I was just about to post a question about my ladies. But now I am quite confident I have pullets.
Thanks again!

Angie16hearts,

My very limited experience:
I hatched 3 EEs last year.  Two have never gone broody (my green-blue layers), but the other (my pink layer) is sitting on some eggs right now.  I tried for 3-4 days to break her, but then decided to go with it.  She adopted the new eggs right away & all are developing.  We'll see next week how her first hatch goes. It's my first broody hen.
Will you keep posted? I would love to know how it all works out. Just in case:) what kind of Rooster do you have? We believe our Roo is a EE .

I know it's probably too early to tell, but if anyone has any ideas that would be great. I basically just wanted to show my new additions off! One is in several of these photos. I added 4 EEs today, with one being either full Ameracauna or Ameracauna/BCMarans cross, or so I was told. I'm just hoping for some blue, green or olive eggs later! :)
and this crew is quite spunky and the Ameracauna is super friendly. I'm a happy chicken momma. Please let the majority of these be girls!! lol
