Easter Egger Sexing "tips and tricks" *Pictures Included*

Yeah, I have 5 Easter Eggers, 4 Delaware, 4 Buff Orpingtons, 4 Cuckoo Marans, 5 Barred Rock, and 2 Black Australorp all at 5 weeks old. It makes for a colorful group. So many personalities! The Easter Eggers are by far everyone's favorite!

Here's my Austrolorps and EE at six weeks.

These pictures are more clear than your original posting. Better lighting!

It's also very helpful to have a close view of the combs for each bird.

I think your first EE is probably a cockerel. Seeing a largish pink comb and some patchy red on the wings. The darker EE (3.) is probably a pullet based on feather pattern, but a close look at the comb could help confirm.

Are the Australorps pure or EE crosses? What type of comb do they have? I see the beginnings of wattles on 4, but would need better pics of combs. Not sure how quickly they mature, but on solid colored birds, comb and wattle development and reddening is usually the first sign of a cockerel.

ive got a few chickies i think may be roos but need a hand at knowing for sure. any help is appreciated.

i thought the colors were more like a pullet, but its got a 3 row pea comb, which i DO have a hen with 3 rows, but just want to double check.

this is a wyandotte/easter egger that im thinking is a cockerel by the comb. the rest of the feathers are black so just got a comb shot.

here is a silkie/easter egger that i was SO sure was a pullet, but now im thinking definite cockerel by that comb. he also has waddles coming in and the feathers are much more red than they were when he was younger.

and lastly, this one i think is a pullet, but just want another opinion. single row pea comb, i thought i got a photo, but apparently not..

thanks!

Number 2 is the only one I think looks like a pullet. But, I'm a newbie at this, totally just guessing. Some people on here are super good at sexing.
