Ok, my 3 EE chicks are officially adopted. Here are pictures. They are supposed to be all pullets, but if anyone thinks I have a boy let me know. Although at 1 week old it is a little early to tell yet I think. I'm still deciding on names, so right now they are light, medium, and dark.

This one's tricky. I see some red on the back, but a fairly even back pattern, also more of a salmon color on the chest. I'd like to see a good close up of the comb.
BTW- I am very jealous of your green grass! We still have several feet of snow right now.

This winter has been so mild here...we are going to have to start mowing soon LOL.

That's what I figured, I had just heard that not all breeds does that work on and I didn't know if it usually worked on EEs, again dependent on what they are crossed with I'm sure.

Yes they are cute, I am a sucker for the chipmunk cheeks. They are proving to be very quick learners from their new mom, even though they are hatchery chicks and didn't have her until a week old, they are trying to make up for lost time. Very awesome to see the mother-chick bond!!

Yes. Most of my EEs are little problem-solvers & can get themselves into trouble (or at least the treat container). They also have very individual personalities. I'm sure you'll enjoy that too!

The cheeks will stay with them as they grow, but be cautious when taking pics....
At the wrong angle, they can look quite scary!

They were sold to me as #1 was a rooster and the rest were pullets. The rooster im not sure of age but the pullets are roughly 6 weeks old.

You MIGHT have all female, At this point, I'm not seeing any definite roo signs in these pics.
#1 has an even feather pattern, so even though it's black & white, I do not see the common rooster white wing patches.
Does it have thicker legs? seem to lead the others? 1st to greet you? stand more vertical - look leggy? Pinker comb? (Those are other signs of males)

#2 looks like it has slower growing feathers, but so far no rooster signs.

#1 is for sure ruler of the brooder, but is also larger then the rest. He/she makes sure it is the first to eat when I refresh the food and huddles the rest in a corner seemingly to protect them. I can not see any comb on it either. I was really hoping it was a rooster
#2 is a blue-ish color under the red so I think the feathering slower was an eye trick unless your referring to something else.
