Easter Egger Sexing "tips and tricks" *Pictures Included*

I would like to see what you think the sex of these are? Some of the pictures are not the best. The first 4 pictures are roosters I am guessing? Can't see well enough to tell.
Not sure on this one either.
Think both are male. Single comb for lavender, but seems pretty big.
That's a boy comb.
Head of black & white one.

Now what I think are pullets Pullet.
Not sure. Pretty colors often mean cockerels!
Comb looks flat, but I can't make out any detail.
Pullet. (Both of them!)
Pullet.
The second and third picture is the same bird. The red on the wing has me wondering about it. They are 7 weeks old. Thanks for your guesses.

I pretty much agree with your guesses and suspicions. Made some comments above.

Thanks. Like everyone says wait til they crow or lay an egg. We have Lavender Orpintons, RIR and sexlinks with them. If the 3 rows on the comb say rooster. I think we have 3 roosters and 7 hens. Time will tell.

Lavender Orps! I was wondering what they were.

I got 2 Eng Orp chicks for a broody hen, one lavender one blue. Took the longest time to sex the blue, it developed so much more slowly. They were both monstrously huge for their age, and cockerels, so they went to live elsewhere. Wish I could have kept them.

You may be looking at a slow to develop comb on your questionable pullet (blue and red). I noticed the breast is coming in dark. That's a cockerel thing too. The feathers rarely lie, but the combs can fool you.

Wishing4wings, my son wants to hatch out some Orp chicks with his splash and black ones this spring. Have to down size before we hatch anymore chicks. Brooding 37 right now in 3 different brooders. They seem to eat alot?

Eat a lot is an understatement!

I had my 2 orpy cockerels next the Serama coop. Shocking how much they ate.

What a difference!

Excuse the interruption, EE lovers!

My replacement Easter Eggers chicks. 4 days old

This *breed* has become my favorite for egg production and friendliness. I have fun trying to figure out what color they will end up being.

This was one of the chicks I posted on this thread last year. She was the runt and ugliest of the bunch but was the only lavender chick not to go very red at 11 weeks and develop visible thin hackle or saddle feathers she stayed. Today Sprinkles (used to be Dotty) who looked so much like a boy gave me this beauty:

My first blue egg!!!

Beautiful colors! I completely agree with you about the *breed*. I hope you post some pics as they grow so we can see how they turn out.
