Today is the first day that it occurred to me that I might have a roo…and after reading about all of the *telltale signs* I'm basically 100% sure..but as a new chicken owner I'm really hoping I'm wrong so I just want to be sure and get everyone's thoughts…I have a 9ish week old EE that started out white/yellow with the eyeliner as a chick. She was appropriately named WhiteButt. She's been getting gradually darker in some areas…her head turned black almost overnight and spots of copper coloring came in everywhere…her posture is pretty confident; she stands taller than our other chickens. Lastly (as if I needed any more conclusive signs..) her comb is more developed than the other EEs we have that are the same age….oh, and it's pink (I really just don't want to admit its basically a red comb…). i've attached (successfully..?) some pictures of…her…too.

Roo, 3 row comb and red patches oh the wings, sorry

What do y'all think about these 3? They are 9 weeks old (Dominique Rooster crossed with Easter Egger hen)....

My guess is rooster here...

Hoping these next two are hens...their combs are much smaller and not as dark in color, also their legs are smaller....

#1 and #2 turned out to be pullets, and #3 and #4 were roosters

#1 laid her first egg this week, a gorgeous olive green, and #2 started squatting a few days ago!
Hooray! I always want to know if my guesses hit the mark. Is that the picture of #2? As for the olive green egg, you know how they say, if there is no picture, it didn't happen.
