Boooooo! Yes, those are bad news. He's going to be gorgeous; I hope you can find him a home where he has a harem to look after.

Here are pictures of Izzy and Cony from this morning. They are twelve weeks old now. Let me know if you all are still seeing pullets. Having posted that I think Izzy is a pullet, I of course saw every roosterish trait this morning

I'm hoping this is a girl. I got 7 chicks about 3 months ago, they were suppose to be ameraucanas but they are EE's but this one. Just wondering if it's a girl or not, I have silkies and these are new to me.

Hubby thinks we should try to keep him. We have what I think is a female Pekin who "talks" quite loudly when she sees us - is a rooster much noisier than that? How much do they crow?
Quote: Are you seeing any shiny feathers? Ginger is just 9 weeks and getting shiny feathers at the base of the tail and the base of the neck.

Oh my gosh!! Are you in my backyard with my Winnie?!?! She looks JUST like yours! How insane. If my bf had sent me those pictures I would have thought your chicken was mine! Beautiful girl. I hope. He'd comb doesn't look too pink (but I am on my phone), but the tail is concerning.

Ok here are more pics of the chick in question. Her comb looks a little bigger than the others but her coloring isn't rooish. The rumpless one I'm almost sure is roo. They are almost 7 weeks old. Its more red cuz I was chasin her! Rumpless one...

I don't think that there are any extra shiny ones...
