You could start putting ads up now.Well, I've been in denial for weeks, but I think I have finally accepted that our little Pancake is a roo. Even though he doesn't have real obvious signs, the comb is just too big for almost 7 weeks. And yesterday while free ranging with our other flock, he ran up and challenged a full grown hen, hackles out and all in her face. She quickly let him know that he was not a big rooster yet! Silly birds. At least two of my EE chicks are pullets, I just have to find a home for my little boy.

I didn't but it may work for you.I think I will check with local farms, I don't mind if they are eaten. I put an ad on here for my OE roo. Do you guys have success with craigslist? I can give them a few more weeks, I'm pretty sure we are a little way off from crowing, but they have to have new homes before then.

Thanks for the advice! I think I will put up a sign at the feed store and go from there. I know the local feed stores here will take unwanted roos and sell them, but I would rather have some say in it. Of course, once the crowing starts, we'll have to do what we have to. It's looking like one of my BLRW is also a roo, so I may have three to get rid of.
