16 weeks - last time I posted, it was about 80% in favor of this being a girl. Whatcha thinking now? The pretty grey/orange combo had me leaning boy, but not really much else for male clues. Maybe slightly darker at the shoulders?
Thabks!
I'm hoping for some assistance in sexing these two EEs. The darker EE is a roo, I'm pretty sure. Of course, let me know if I'm wrong. The lighter one with white could also be a roo but I'm hoping for confirmation. They are about 12 weeks old. Please excuse the black copper maran in the photo. I'll be posting his/her pic in another thread to get sexed. Thanks for your help in advance!
Love the blue egg!! I hope I get some soon, my current 2 laying EE's both lay pink and pink with purplish speckled eggs! I have seen several people on the BYC with beardless EE's and they are very pretty! she looks to love the camera lol I have a couple that are little photo bombers!

Besides each bird being an individual, the time of year plays a big roll. Mine didn't lay until 24-28 weeks! The first egg came in January -during the Polar Vortex! Sadly it was cracked & covered with poop. Eventually they all started laying & by early March we stopped buying eggs. I've noticed that my blue-green layers only give 4-5 eggs per week, but my pink layers average 7 eggs. (They only take off about 1day per month)
I finally took some new pictures of my guys today, however, seeing them on the computer they don't look as well as they did from my phone.
Maybe they're enough for some of you to take educated guesses. If not, I'll try to get more. They were NOT happy about being caught, which is a shame because I really want friendly chickens.... This will put them at approximately 6.5 - 7 weeks old.
After reading about roo signs, now I'm super paranoid all of my light ones are cockerels. I really hope I'm just worrying, though. I'll be pretty bummed if I picked 50/50.
First I'll post my dark ones.
1) This is my favorite, please tell me she's a she!
2) Here's one I'm almost positive is a pullet. I've been calling her "Plain Jane"
3) Someone thought this one might be a roo because of splotchy-ness.
And the wind was blowing a bit if she looks curly.
Now for my lights.
4) This is the one I was originally especially suspicious of, with neck feathers coming in later and a hell b*tch when caught. Now, when compared to the other two I'm just not sure!
5) This one I thought was my girl, less color than the other two but the comb is redder.. ???
6) And lastly, for sure roo, right?
Here's an extra of them all but one chillin' on the perch away from the big girls:

Very pretty color varieties!! I am no pro and am just giving my opinion but I think your last 2 are the Roos!! I'm not sure on the first ( your fav) those black/whites can be sneaky lol but I'm saying pullet for now
I wish they were all pullets because seeing all their colors together is really neat. I'm surprised I ended up with as much variety as I did. Though, that isn't helpful if half of them are roosters!
