Hey everyone, just wanted to let you all know, HE is a cockerel! I can see his rooster feathers coming in around his collar. I'll post some pictures of him as he matures. He is still just silver, black and white. So interested to see how he turns out!

Ha ha ha I don't have a name for
him yet, I'll think on that. His comb has only ever been slightly more red than his sister's. I was able, however, to finally see three rows of peas. (He is constantly moving.) But having had cockerels before, I've never seen a pullet with feathers of this shape -- only ever my Cockerels. My confusion has been that I'm new to EEs, and sexing them seems more complicated than most breeds I'm beyond happy. He is going to be a beauty, and I'm excited for some of his babies! I have several different breeds of hens/pullets, so this will be exciting to see what they end up looking like. Thanks again for the help all!!

Omelet Update: (Short version = She was hatched from an egg that was about to be our breakfast. Ugly chick grew up to be my DD's fav.)

Omelet will be nine months old next week. She started laying back in August, stopped for a bit & started laying again last month. Dad was an EE so she gives green eggs. Mom is a pretty, jumbo egg-laying mutt, so she also gives HUGE eggs (between 2.5 and 2.8 oz each!) To top it off, she made 14 eggs in the last 18 days. I can't complain about her production. I suppose my daughter chose a good keeper.
