Ha ha ha I don't have a name forHow does the comb look? It usually changes before the feathers. You will have to think of a new name. Anatoli?
I'm beyond happy. He is going to be a beauty, and I'm excited for some of his babies! I have several different breeds of hens/pullets, so this will be exciting to see what they end up looking like. Thanks again for the help all!!Omelet Update: (Short version = She was hatched from an egg that was about to be our breakfast. Ugly chick grew up to be my DD's fav.)
Omelet will be nine months old next week. She started laying back in August, stopped for a bit & started laying again last month. Dad was an EE so she gives green eggs. Mom is a pretty, jumbo egg-laying mutt, so she also gives HUGE eggs (between 2.5 and 2.8 oz each!) To top it off, she made 14 eggs in the last 18 days. I can't complain about her production. I suppose my daughter chose a good keeper.
