I thought they were all pullets too, but I had read somewhere that black and white easter eggers were almost always roosters.

Yes, that's one of those comments that keeps getting repeated. Not sure on the reasoning. I've seen plenty of black and white pullets on this thread. Love to have one myself.

This is why I'm holding on to my black and white chick, in hopes that it is a Pullet!!! I'll post a 7 wk old pic this weekend looking for any tail tail signs either way!!

I have three EE's that are two months old. My guess is that #1 & #2 are roos and #3 is a pullet. Any thoughts?

Now that I'm an expert (ahem)...

#2 is a roo.
1 and 3 are pullets. (not really sure about #1 though).

#2 is the only cockerel. Comb is large and red, and his flashy coloring confirms it. Pullet coloring is usually subdued, not flashy.

Agreed -- 2 pretty pullets and a cockerel.

Does anyone know what kind of signs I'd be looking for to indicated rooster vs. pullet in a Dominique/Easter Egger cross? (Rooster is a Dominique, mama hen is an Easter Egger.)

This is what they look like at 6 weeks...Their combs are all flat with no bumps/ridges so far. Also, if I have any hens, would I expect to have brown eggs instead of green since they took on the color patterns of the Dominique?
