Easter Egger Sexing "tips and tricks" *Pictures Included*

We got this EE in our latest batch of chicks. She's brought up a lot of questions for us about whether she's a she. Almost 4 weeks old. What other photos would help ID her?

That's a pretty big comb for 4 wks. Maybe a close up pic of the comb straight on would help. May be a hint of red coming in on the wings, but it's hard to tell. Leaning toward cockerel, but wouldn't be surprised if I'm wrong. Too early.

Our 8 week old EE, supposed to be a pullet. Thoughts? She has a small, pale comb.

So Far so good, the comb is still small like you said. She has some patches, but they aren't the typical brick red rooster patches. Your blue also looks female, the blue males are usually a darker blue on the shoulders.

Yes, the blue is a female. We had her brother but gave him back to the breeder when it was obvious he was a male. She is actually an Olive Egger. She's a cross between a purebred Ameraucana and a BCM.
