Alright, here we go. This little gray and white EE is 5 or 6 weeks. The comb has been there since about 3 weeks. What do y'all think?

I'm newish to chickens and super new to EEs....just got my first crash course 2 weeks ago :) But based on the little I know, I'm leaning towards pullet. I don't see the 2nd and 3rd rows in the comb very developed...they look sort of flat...though wider than I'd expect in a pullet. And I don't see red on wings. Also, area around comb is sort of tucked. Not sure that's anything but I've noticed that pullets combs are more tucked and roolings' arent. I question any white / black flashy pattern but her coloring is more subdued. Interested to see how she turns out. If I've learned anything in my year of chicken keeping; it's that chickens like to bend and break rules haha

Hello there!! I’m new to the chicken mom business, and I need a little expert help in my Easter Eggers. I have 4 of them and 1 of them definitely doesn’t look like the others. I already had one barred rock turn out to be a cockerel, which was easier for me to tell (Thanks to some threads I found on here!)

The one is question is the black/white/red one with a beautiful iridescent green tail. I thinks he/she is gorgeous so I will be keeping it either way!

Here s/he is with one of my other EE’s

Some days I convince myself that my 8 are all hens... then somedays I'm sure they are all roosters ;) This thread has me all crazy. I have two EEs that are massive. I thought for sure one or both of them would be a roo. (I ordered all pullets ;) ) But now I'm leaning toward them just being big aggressive girls. The smallest one that I thought for sure was a girl.... Well... See the black and white one (Marshall) ... What do you all think?
And the second photo is Charlie, who I thought was a girl... but is that what you call blotchy? I'm worse about this than I was waiting to see what sex my kids were going to be, LOL. I Don't have good photos of the others. They don't hold still :) View attachment 1346730 View attachment 1346731
I have 5 EEs and 3 Speckeled Sussex. One of the sussex has a pinker comb than the others and more white on his/her breast.
I don't know what to think... lol I just read today that the comb on male EEs tend to be three rows vs 1. I'll have to go get a better look at their combs. They were 7 weeks Monday.

OK, so... I know you all decided Charlie looked like a pullet. But today... there are two raised lines on either side of her comb making it look like three rows and her wattles are popping out. She's either my fastest developing pullet, or a slow developing cockerel! lol It was bedtime when I noticed this so I will try to get a better pic tomorrow! None of the others have wattles yet. They turn 9 weeks tomorrow.

None of my EE have wattles. I’d love a photo!

Well, now I'm worried... I'm looking at photos online and thinking... what if it's not wattles? It looked like one side of her face, under the beak where a wattle would be, was a little swollen. One side looked more developed than the other. It might not be wattles, she might have a swollen face for some reason? I didn't see any obvious injury. I'll check her out first thing in the morning. But man... that comb she/he has going now doesn't look like any of the others. I am reading that EEs don't get wattles, yet, I'm seeing that the Roos get small ones. We'll see what tomorrow morning brings!

Yes, the black and white one is definitely a male. Large red comb and red wing patches. Glad you can keep him. He is cool looking.
