Here is an update on Nellie/Nelson. I think he is a roo. He is getting red patches on his wings. In these pics, he is 8 weeks. Thank you.

I would agree based on the non uniform coloring on the body .... but ... the saddle feathers are really rounded which would suggest pullet .... but ... it also looks like a 3 row comb which goes back to cockerel. Hopefully someone more expert at this will post.

Its too early for male or female specific saddle feathers. Those don't come in until their 12-13 weeks.

The come is suspect, but I don't see any rust or red on the wings, tbh. I'd give it another week or two and check back.
 
Here is Nelson. He is almost 11 weeks old here in these pictures. S/he is getting defined red on his upper wings. Saddle feathers still looking relatively round. Hackle feathers looking a little pointy. Thank you for your time.

One more thing to add, his saddle feathers are actually a bit longer and more flowing than the girls. I don’t know if that means anything.
