Thanks for posting your cockerel pics.
Oh! Sorry. In the pic it's probably 3-6 weeks? How old is it?
So it may not be an EE? Or it isn’t an EE? Bought from local breeder along with 3 others. Perhaps something got mixed up when we were given our choice to pick.I don't even know what kind of chicken it is! I've never seen an EE with a mop on top. Muffs and beards yes, pompadours - no.
But you know it's a male now?Oh! Sorry. In the pic it's probably 3-6 weeks?
I know the gender, yes. It's 25 weeks.But you know it's a male now?
I can't tell from the picture. Legs are pretty hefty looking, but I wouldn't judge just by that.
For those who are doubting it, yes, the black IS an EE, just a different type. She's a Crested Cream Legbar mix(blue egg layers), as compared to an Ameraucana mutt.7 week old EE from local breeder...any idea of sex? Please say pullet, pullet and pullet! Thanks for any help

My EE rooster now at almost 22 weeks in the third picture. The first two were from a couple weeks ago. Not sure what the mix is but he hatched from a blue egg, has cheek poufs, and gray feathered legs. The colors are unreal! He has the typically green sheen on his black feathers but when the sun hits him right he actually has spots of royal blue on his wings. And his hackle and chest feathers have a lace pattern like a Wyandotte. Cream with black and black with red.Beautiful!! I am amazed to see all these color variations with EE’s. I’m new to chickens so I live on this website...informational as well as entertaining!
Bruce, I have a mop head also. Not sure what it.I don't even know what kind of chicken it is! I've never seen an EE with a mop on top. Muffs and beards yes, pompadours - no.
