It is fascinating isn't it?

I see so many colors and physical characteristics of the South American parent stocks that we see in our own EE's. I especially found the part interesting about the diet of the native birds to improve hatch rates and blue egg color (quinoa and cooked sweet potato tend to have the darker egg shell hue) and the part about the pink and lilac eggs. Boy would I like a bird that lays lilac eggs...

The bird looks tiny, DH is 6'5" and has huge hands.

She is white with gold lacing on the back and golden orange on the chest with a bit of gray mixed in.
