That’s what I’m confused about because the cockerel was supposed to be a pullet. Is this normal? They have all been from TSC because I didn’t have time to actually order and receive this year with this glorious covid. You have a trio of Easter Eggers (one cockerel, two pullets.) Is the next one a bantam? What hatchery was she from/did TSC order from? I would naturally say Black Breasted Red Old English Game Bantam, but the slate legs are odd. Perhaps a Phoenix if large fowl
He is definitely a cockerel, hatcheries often mis-sex their birds :/That’s what I’m confused about because the cockerel was supposed to be a pullet. Is this normal? They have all been from TSC because I didn’t have time to actually order and receive this year with this glorious covid.
Haha. TSC screws it up again. That’s what I’m confused about because the cockerel was supposed to be a pullet. Is this normal? They have all been from TSC because I didn’t have time to actually order and receive this year with this glorious covid.
Wow! How many birds altogether?Dang it. I already have 4 Roos to deal with thanks to TSC.he’s too pretty so maybe he’ll luck out and be our main rooster.
Altogether we have 22, I guess now 5 Roos and 17 hens. They all have their own he s depending on age (except our white barred that we just found out about). Should I try to let it be with that many roosters or try to rehome some? I have seen they have a pecking order.Wow! How many birds altogether?
Yeah, too many. You can have one boy, two mellow ones at most.Altogether we have 22, I guess now 5 Roos and 17 hens. I wondered if I was the only one saying EE I say that because if the red on the wingI’d just say easter egger, do keep in mind that they’re not pure breeds and by definition can be anything that could lay a blue/green egg. If she lays a dark green egg then I’d assume she has Marans in her history somewhere.
