Easter egger???

I wanted to buy an Americana but they were sold out. The guy had a cross that was suppose to be top hat and Americana. It has blue ears and I'm just curious of why? I thought that was a trait of a silkie! The guy said she was a year old and later blue eggs but I am wondering if he lied just to get rid of her. She kinda looks small to be a year. So far no eggs. Guess I'll see tomorrow. Does anybody's Easter egger have blue ears? Maybe he had Easter egger chickens instead of Americana!

it's a little difficult to tell from that picture, that looks like it has faverolle in it. can you get a pic that has the legs/feet in it? are they feathered? how many toes?

No feathers on feet. The man told me too hat and americauna! I was hoping I would get some blue eggs but I guess he lied to sell the chicken

It's possible that she has Silkie, Polish, and Easter Egger in her. Usually, first generation Silkie mixes will have feathered legs. She's likely from a very mixed flock. Good news is that it's definitely a female, and she is very pretty.
